Dear Yuletide Writer,
I'm so excited you're writing for me! I'm a pretty easy recipient. Everything that follows except my DNWs are just suggestions; if you have your own ideas for any of these, please write that instead. Likes: Characters confessing to each other, codependency, whispered secrets in the middle of the night, desperation of any sort, there's only one bed!, omg they were roommates, arranged marriages, flirting and/or sex from a distance-- over video chat, on the phone, through emotionally-charged letters with increasing levels of losing it, praise, being trapped in cramped spaces together, party games, smoking, drinking, marijuana use, tattoos, sex pollen, trans or nonbinary characters, consensual somnophilia, fighting/scuffling, hurt/comfort in either equal measure or weighted toward comfort
Any holiday theming is fine! You could even do an off-season one. I'd read an Easter fic for Yuletide.
ACCA 13-ku Kansatsuka - Jean Otus, Nino
This one is a forever fandom for me, so you really can't do wrong here. I ship Jean/Nino very much and would be over-the-moon to get something where they're romantically involved, but I would be just as satisfied to read about them going on new adventures together. I'm also interested in a canon divergent AU-- maybe Jean gets shot instead of Nino? Maybe Nino's stalking/mission is found out earlier? Maybe Jean becomes king after all?
Other ideas:
- attending Lotta's graduation and being complete embarrassments
- fighting over the last piece of bread
- foiling another political plot
I'm also happy to read about any of the other characters interacting with Jean and Nino, so feel free to include anyone from ACCA, Lotta, or Schwann and Magie.
Net-juu no Susume | Recovery of an MMO Junkie - Morioka Moriko | Hayashi, Sakurai Yuuta | Lily
For this fandom, I'm okay with a gen fic that only focuses on one of the characters instead of both, and also okay with a threesome with Koiwai. I also know Worldbuilding wasn't nominated for this, but if you wanted to write Morioka and Sakurai exploring the world of their shared MMORPG, that would be great.
Definitely fine with Morioka/Sakurai romantically. They both desperately need a makeout session, or at least a nice date (and maybe an impromptu visit to a love hotel). It's been like four years since the anime aired and I'm still angry that the washing machine interrupted them. I'm also okay with their game characters in-game hooking up as some sort of proxy.
Other ideas:
- their successful trip away together
- Morioka finding a new job where she's actually satisfied and not burned out
- maybe riding out the pandemic quarantine together in Sakurai's apartment
- Sakurai exploring why he always gravitates toward female characters in games
- Same as above, but with Morioka and male characters
- Or both doing a gender exploration together
Superstore - Dina Fox, Amy Sosa
I mainlined all of Superstore in a week very recently and now I'm mad at myself for not watching earlier and getting to experience all of this show's delights on a weekly basis. It's so cute and funny, yet somehow managed to organically incorporate so many things that affect retail employees, like labor organizing, insurance, maternity leave, and immigration. I just really loved all of it!
I picked Dina and Amy for this because I loved how their friendship developed over the course of the show. I would be so happy to read more of them hanging out at some point after the series finale, just being BFFs. I would also love a drunken hook-up for them with both wondering what the hell happened and making a pact to never speak of it again, maybe with repeat performances or everyone else in the store immediately figuring it out.
I also love Amy/Jonah and Dina/Garrett, so having either or both of those pairings in a fic is fine with me. I would prefer no infidelity if you go this route, though I would adore a double date!
Other things I'd appreciate:
- Amy helping Dina pick out some new birds
- Dina calling Amy late-night for some manager-to-manager advice
- Something where everyone is stuck in the store for reasons
NU: carnival - Quincy, Kuya
We both know what we're here for in offering and requesting NU:c, but I'll state the obvious anyway-- explicit fic is fine and encouraged. Quincy/Kuya is extremely fine, and if you want to throw in a bonus Eiden in between them, please do.
These two have years of history and I'd love to know more about that. How did they meet in the first place? Did Kuya know Quincy when Quincy was still accepted by his village? How long did it take before Quincy found out that Kuya is a kitsune?
I'd also love to know if they had any big falling out. Did they ever interact with Huey together, the way they do with Eiden now, or did they keep all clan business separate until Eiden came along to sexily mess it all up? We know Huey was a lot more formal and business-minded than Eiden ever will be. And not a worldbuilding request exactly, but I would love to read about them visiting other parts of the Klein continent.
Other ideas:
- Rival or hatesex is completely okay
- A fic about how they spent the last lunar spirit eclipse together (the one 55 years before the one with Eiden) would be amazing
- Topper hanging out somewhere would make my day. Describe his little outfits. Describe Quincy diligently sewing his little outfits.
- Riding out immortality together
- For Quincy/Kuya, I like Quincy wrecking Kuya so very much, but Kuya pampering Quincy also has its merits. Go with whatever your heart or the god of Klein says.
